Budding Artists Miami offers an on-site after-school Art Program to public, private schools, and homeschooling groups.

Budding Artists Miami offers a Mixed Media Art Class that introduces basic art concepts at a level that children can grasp. We provide Information, inspiration, instruction, and guidance allowing students to express their creativity and individuality. Every child is encouraged to experiment, explore and “make mistakes” while on their journey towards self-expression.

Budget cuts to public education over the years disproportionately impacted visual arts programs in schools across the country, making supplemental art education vital for children to receive a well-rounded education. After-school programs with Budding Artists Miami (B.A.M.) can fill the gap, helping children to develop core competency skills in the arts. Now offering virtual online classes.

Lessons and Materials

Here are some of the different mediums we use for our classes!

We introduce concrete ideas and concepts at age and experience appropriate levels, while continuously challenging kids to grow as artists.
  • Portraits

    Students will learn the correct proportions of the human face, enabling them to create better self portraits and portraits of others

  • Perspective

    Students learn to create depth within an art piece using 1 and 2 point perspectives.

  • Still Life

    Students gain useful tips to observing the world around them with an ‘artists eyes’.

  • Abstract Art

    Students learn to create moods through the ascetics of art.

  • Color Theory

    Students will learn how to mix new colors and how to use them intentionally.

  • Composition Principles

    Students will learn how to create a balanced art piece from imagination.

  • Lines and Patterns

    Students will learn what makes a line and how to use them to make interesting patterns.

  • Landscapes

    Students will create beautiful landscapes of local Florida wildlife.

  • Art History

    Students will be studying and recreating the works of Van Gough, Picasso, Munch, Dr. Seuss, Warhol as well as others.

  • Contemporary Art study

    Students will be exposed to contemporary artists like Romero Britto, Rene Wiley, Dave L, Miyazaki among others.

  • Cartooning

    Students will create their own characters and create a cartoon!

  • Traditional Art from around the world

    Students will be exposed to and recreate various forms of traditional folk art from around the world.

Students will be introduced to various mediums throughout the year that will aid them in their journey towards self-expression. By way of example:
